Who is leading training?
On May 13, 2021, I died.
I ascended to Heaven. Was greeted by the Great Cloud of Witnesses. Stood face to face with Jesus.
He sent me back with these words: "There is still so much for you to do."
I didn't know what that meant. But God began slowly revealing His plan as I was ready to receive it.
He planted seeds in music.
I started curating a weekly 5-song playlist to guide my own walk with Jesus. It was simple: 5 songs. 1 theme. 1 journey with Jesus.
I called it The JDOT Five.
Soon I was sharing the playlist. Then sharing my experience with the songs. Then creating resources to help others dive deeper into the themes - to better understand what God was saying through the music.
Before I knew it, FIVE DAYS with The JDOT Five was born.
Now, thousands of people listen to The JDOT Five every Friday at 7 AM.
I've been leading small groups for over a decade - in churches, homes, coffee shops. I've trained volunteers and leaders in multiple contexts.
But this is different.
This isn't traditional Bible study. This is music-based discipleship that meets people where they already are - in their playlists, in their cars, in their everyday lives.
I'm also living with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) - a degenerative condition that's slowly taking my words.
Which makes this work urgent.

Question 1: Do I need to be leading a group right now to join?
No! This is for current leaders AND aspiring leaders. If you want to start a group, this will equip you. You'll experience what it's like firsthand, then you'll know how to lead it.
Question 2: What if I can't make a live session?
The live experience is really the heart of this - encountering God through music together in real time. That said, life happens. If you absolutely must miss a session, reach out and we'll figure it out on a case-by-case basis.
Question 3: Is this only for youth leaders?
Not at all. This works for youth groups, young adult groups, adult small groups, college groups, recovery groups - any context where you're facilitating faith discussions.
Question 4: What if I don't know anything about music?
You don't need to know anything about Christain music. You don't need to be a musician. You don't need any musical background. You just need to be willing to press play and let God speak through what you hear.
Question 5: Can I use this with other curriculum I'm already using?
Absolutely! The JDOT Five was meant to flex. Many leaders use The JDOT Five as a supplement. Or you can use it as your primary curriculum. Your choice.

This is for any leader who follows Jesus. The curriculum is Scripture-based, not denominationally specific. We focus on encountering Jesus through music and His Word.
Question 7: What if people in my group don't like Christian music?
You'd be surprised. When music is tied to Scripture and creates space for encountering God, even people who say they "don't like Christian music" engage differently. Plus, The JDOT Five features diverse genres (hip-hop, worship, indie, gospel, pop) so there's something for everyone.

Question 9: What's the refund policy?
If you register and then decide before Week 1 that this isn't for you, I'll refund you 100%. No questions asked. Once Week 1 starts, no refunds (because you'll have access to the Essentials guides).
Question 10: How is this different from just buying the Essentials guides?
The guides are amazing on their own ($29 each). But this training gives you the EXPERIENCE first - you encounter God through the music yourself, THEN you learn to lead. You can't lead people where you haven't been. Plus, you get community support, live training, and ongoing access.
